Lalita made her way to the kitchen as her stomach growled. She knew that her agent would be furious if she found out that her best client was eating after eight, but currently Lalita didn't care. Entering the kitchen, she saw a few house elves were cleaning up and preparing for the next breakfast. As she sat own at a table, one elf came up to her asking her what she wanted. A big cheeseburger with extra fries. "I'll have a few pieces of celery please," She ended up saying. A cheeseburger? Yeah, in her dreams!

Ryan walked into the kitchen and looked around, it had been a while since he had been in here. He thought about the last time he was in the kitchen and then realized that there was a girl already in there. He walked over there and said "Hello there, mind if I sit with you?"

Lalita looked up at the guy who had come in. She hadn't been expecting company this late but wasn't about to turn it down. At this point, she would be glad for any sort of friend. "Not at all, come sit." She greeted him witha warm smile, a very nontypical Slytherin thing to do.

Ryan smiled and sat down "So what are you doing down here so late?" he asked looking at her. He was usually pretty good about figuring out what house someone was in but with this girl he couldn't quite pick it out.

Lalita shrugged, "I got hungry." She couldn't help but to wonder what was taking the celery so long. It was celery for goodnes sake! Not something that took time to prepare. Oh well, she never turned down company. "How about yourself?" she asked, making conversation. They were in a kitchen though, so chances were she already knew his answer. Hunger most likely, but hey, it didn't hurt to ask.

Ryan smiled "I got bored and wanted to get out of the common room. So what is your name if you don't mind me asking?" He looked at the girl closely and thought to himself that she was very pretty, and was wondering why he still could figure out what house she was in.
((Sorry for the delay, I am having computer problems, mostly my computer sucks lol))

"Lalita Harshini," Lalita said simply. "And who are you?" She asked, her gaze now following a house elf that seemed confused. Oh well, the food wasn't really worth it. She focused her attention back to the guy. She could see that he was trying to be friendly but she couldn't help but to smile at the thought. Oh, the things in life that would be made easier if people just knew.

Ryan smiled "Ryan Magby" he said and looked at her one more time and said "Usually I am good at figuring people out, especially their house, but with you I am a little stumped. My first instinct was Slytherin but im not so sure about that anymore."

"Hm," Lalita thought outloud, thinking it'd be more fun to not tell him, "Well, what makes you think Slytherin?" She gave a small smile, mainly a polite one, in hopes that she'd hear his thought process. He was a pretty handsome man, just not really her type. Putting her elbows on the table, a very bad habit she had picked up since moving again, she leaned onto them and waited to hear what he would say.

Ryan smiled and replied "I have known a lot of people at this school, and I have been able to get a sense of what house people are in, and my first sense of you was slytherin. Plus, for the most part only slytherins or maybe gryffindors would be out here at this time of night."

"Ah. The two you have to choose between are most opposite of each other." Lalita found it surprising that he would assume only Gryffindors or Slytherins would be out this late. After all, at her old school she was out just as late and she was a Hufflepuff. Oh well, different schools and different house sterotypes.

Ryan laughed "They are total opposites, and of course there are some exceptions, like me, but for the most part that is how it is here." he smiled "And yes there are different sterotypes here."

"Mhm," Lalita agreed. There were for sure different sterotypes. But now she was getting bored with the topic. "Well, I'm a Slytherin nevertheless," She said finally without much care. From what he had said, him being an exception and all she assumed his house. "Hufflepuff for you I gather." It was more of a statement then a question. He had made it quite obvious what house he was in by the clues in the midst of their conversation.

"Not odd at all," Lalita looked up at him through her warm brown eyes, "I would say the same expect I do not think I would fit in well with the Gryffindors. Much too noble for my taste." The artsy Hufflepuffs, smart Ravenclaws, and ambitious Slytherins were perfect for the likes of her though. Just at that moment the celery she asked for minutes and minutes ago finally arrived. The house elf placed it in front of her on the table and she looked at it. It had been seasoned with all sorts of calorie filled things and the once healthy snack now looked covered in unhealthy things. Careful to not hurt the house elf's feelings, she waited until he went away before pushing it aside. How hard was it to get simply plain celery?
