Mano couldn't hold back a chuckle at the thought of Eros spending his days surrounded by lollipops and children. "I may have to come and watch you at work, candy man," he teased. "Be sure that you smile for the children and their snotty little noses." He imagined that Eros would hire someone as soon as possible to take care of the shop and run screaming.

Erose's nose wrinkled, despite the knowledge of how unpleasant it likely looked. "God, maybe I'll put a sign in the window that all brats must be washed and wiped to enter," he said. "I had the thought of opening a Dark Arts shop, but it's not nearly as fashionable as it used to be and Knockturn Alley is so unpleasant." Though at least it wasn't filled with children.

Mano nodded, "I'm sure you could have put off a Dark Arts shop here if you tried hard enough. It's not like the ministry comes and does inspections like they used to." No, that wasn't nearly as rampant as it had once been. He knew that it could still happen, but it seemed pretty unlikely considering he hadn't heard of anything going on in that realm for years.

"Well, the chance of it would be more than enough," Eros said. "The work involved in getting out of something like that would be heinous, not to mention the money. And Father." He cringed at the thought. "He'd likely saddle me with some vapid Plain Jane as punishment." Not that things like that weren't still common enough, and not that his family wasn't all for a laissez-faire government, but it was gauche to be so open.

Mano nearly cringed at the idea. If he was going to get stuck with someone for the rest of his life, might as well have someone gorgeous. "Well, I'm sure you'll survive the little brats that come through. You can always come by when you need a break, surely we can find something to do." There wasn't much, but they were always able to find a way to spend their time.

"Well I'll definitely stop by to see your customers," Eros said. That one woman in particular. He wouldn't at all mind having someone set up while he got things settled. "Don't expect me to work, though." There was no way he'd clean tables, no matter what Mano offered him. Just the thought made him uncomfortable.

"I promise I wouldn't make you do it the muggle way," Mano teased. "But really, the customers are what makes it fun, most of the time." There were the few customers that he would rather never see again, but for the most part he enjoyed seeing them, especially the regulars that came by daily or weekly.

"The Muggle way?" Eros repeated. "I wouldn't know how to do it any way, so it's a moot point, isn't it? Thank God candy shops don't have tables." Not as far as he knew, but then, he'd never been into a candy shop before. His vision of what it took to operate a shop fell quite short of the reality, but he didn't know that.

A smirk pulled at Mano's lips. It would be interesting to see Eros trying to learn how to run a shop. It had taken Mano a little bit to get the hang of it, but he had forced himself to read books on it to begin with. And now he saw it as a useful skill to have learned. Should he ever need to run anything dealing with money, he could, and now he wouldn't have to rely on someone else to do something as simple as make him a coffee.

Eros didn't know why anyone would want to make their own coffee, and at the quirk of Mano's lips, he wondered why anyone would want to clean tables. Nor did he think he wanted to know what Mano was thinking at that moment. His look of cautious skepticism eased after a minute or so and he turned his attention back to more interesting subjects.
"Enough with standing here," he said at last. He gave a pointed glance around the now nearly-empty platform. "I believe you have a picture to show me."
