Gabby walked between the huge trees, finding peace in the stillness of the forest. Gabby knew that it was dangerous for her to be alone in the forest, as Chase hadn't stopped telling her. But she knew that her biggest threat was still recovering from a huge duel and wouldn't be interested in attacking girls just at the moment. Gabby found her way to her favourite glade, with the solid trees and the babbling stream. Gabby hugged her leatherbound album to her chest as she settled herself by the stream, a tree supporting her back. She opened the album and started to look through the photos. The new scar on her collarbone throbbed from the strain as it was not yet fully healed, but that day her heart was hurting more.

Storm came back from the Hospital wing, her brows set in a frown, instead of going back to her dorm to clean-up she had rather gone to the forest, a place holding a few fond memories, some not so great. It was dangerous to be here, not because of what lurks in the forest, but because every step she took, had only made her emotions boil even more.
Storm could feel that how she looked wasn't right. She didn't need a mirror to tell her that her hair was disheveled her robes still stained with blood, and her face rather pale, but still she couldn't say she regretted going, she would never regret that.
Storm looked up from the ground her eyes narrowing on Gabby, this was the last person she wanted to see, especially knowing that Gabby brought out her former sadistic side. She would give the girl a chance to leave, if she wouldn't Storm wouldn't be responsible for what she does. She waited not saying anything her footsteps muffled then came to a stop as she waited for Gabby to see her.

Gabby was absorbed in looking over the album so it took her a few moments to realise someone was standing before her. She looked up and her breath caught in her throat as she realised who it was. She snapped her album shut and placed it clost to her side. She didn't want Storm getting hold of it. Tentatively, Gabby said "Hi Storm," Gabby swallowed, her mouth felt very dry suddenly. As Gabby waited, the vision of herself falling of the broom and landing on the ground played behind her eyes.

Storm smirked the last time they met involved her own wand being pulled out, she couldn't say that the memory wasn't appealing to her, Storm found it entertaining as well, but pretended not to care. She waved lazily at Gabby her eyes darting towards the album in her hand. It then struck Storm that the two were in the forest alone, with no one there to hear them.
"Little girl." she sneered back her lips pulled up in the corner.

Gabby stood up, her back to the tree. She couldn't deny the fact that she was nervous. The last time she had met Storm she had ended up in the hospital wing, unconcious and with a new scar. She stooped and picked up her album. Without making it noticeable to Storm, Gabby used a spell to protect her album and with another spell, sent it flitting through the trees towards the castle. There was no way Storm could get her hands on it. Gabby met Storm's gaze and stood her ground with a quiet force.

The strength in her eyes made Storm laugh, but the distance between the two still great. Storm took a few step forward till she was two arms length away. A smile on her lips, one that didn't reach her eyes. Her eyes were getting brighter, something about the strength the girl had made Storm excited, as if she wanted a little fight, knowing that for a few seconds she could forget the few things that happened, she forget about the dried blood that stained her robes.
"You don't want to fight me Gabby, nothing in your grandmothers book will help you." she sneered, the intensity for her eyes boring into Gabby's she was being overcome by her darker side, recently that side of her was fighting for dominance, and Storm was not going to fight it anymore, she would allow the other side of her to come out. She could feel her wand up her sleeves, if Gabby tried anything she would be ready for it.

"You're right, I don't want to fight you." Gabby said soflty, accutely aware of where she had stowed her wand. Gabby stung a little about Storm's remark about her grandmother. The album she had sent flying away contained the only pictures Gabby had of her grandmother and Gabby would fiercly protect them and her grandmother's memory.
"I started this, this thing," She held her hands down by her side, relaxed, she didn't want to startle Storm into throwing another spell at her. "I want to finsih it, I acted a total bitch and did an extremely stupid thing. I know we will never be friends and I accept that, but I don't want us to be enemies either."
Gabby found herself holding her breath, waiting to see what Storm would say. Gabby just wanted it to all be over, she was tired, stressed and nervous now due to the tension between herself and the slytherins.

Storm laughed, the dark sound echoing off the trees, she couldn't believe the child. How naive Gabby was, the fact that she actually expected her not to be enemies, it was impossible. Thoughts went back to Chase, she knew this isn't the hatred he felt towards Emilian, not even close, but maybe Storm wanted to be able to hate someone else rather than herself.
"Maybe I want to be enemies, maybe I want to hate you, maybe I like having you fear me, your pain is my pleasure, my drug, something I can't live without." Storm was going for the melodramatic, but it suited the situation perfectly well, this is what she wanted, she wanted to forget the hate she had for herself and focus it on someone else for once.

Gabby's heart dropped, appalled that Storm could be that awful. Well actually she wasn't, Gabby had grown to expect this sort of thing, and deep down, she found that she wasn't actually surprised. Gabby looked into Storm's eyes and was a little scared about what she saw.
"What you are doing is wrong Storm." She said, firmly and loudly, so it echoed round the glade, Gabby alsmost felt as if the forest was listening to her words. "I don't know what happened to you, and I don't care. But you should not do this to make yourself feel better."
Gabby's voice grew stronger and her eyes grew harder. She knew that this could make Storm flip, but she also knew it might have a good effect on her.
"This is just what Emilian does" As soon as Gabby said it, she wished she hadn't and she knew that she had probably just signed her death wish.

She wasn't taken back nor was she afraid, although the strngth in Gabby's voice was a trait Storm would have respected, if she cared at that moment.
Storm paused the comparison made her take a step back. She wasn't like Emilian, she couldn't be like him. No she wasn't because Emilian thought differently than Storm, but she couldn't help but think of this for a while. Her fists balled up as she raised her hand pushing Gabby back into the tree, pinning her hands with her own.
"I am like nobody." she hissed the color in her eyes dangerously bright, she had completely lost it. She wasn't sure what she was doing, she couldn't control her blind rage.
"You will regret the day you met me little girl." Storm had no control over herself, the blood that stained her only made her look more like a murderer her lips curled as she took a step back drawing her wand and pointing it at Gabby.
"Pull out you wand, we end things tonight." she said her teeth glinting her eyes distant and bright.

Gabby didn't have time to react until she was pinned against the tree. She thought the safest thing to do would be to keep talking. "You are like Emilian, you assaulted someone, and now you want to settle it in a duel. Wasn't that what Emilian did? He's lying in the hospital wing now, half dead." Gabby looked at Storm, no fear showing through her eyes although inside she was trembling. "I refuse to fight you, and if you attack me now, then you're worse than Emilian." Gabby said the words softly but full of force.

She sneered maybe, but at this point she could hear Gabby's words, but couldn't hear the meaning, they were distant echo's in the back of her mind, some small distant part of her told her to stop, but she just ignored her.
"Emilian and I are two different people, he has nothing to do with me, and the only reason he's half dead is because..." she trailed off thoughts of Chase was over powering her, what would he think, if he saw her this way, probably hate her, but then thoughts of her father over came her. The way he hurt her, taught her that the only pleasure in life was taking some one else's. The way her mother looked down on her in pity. Never picked her up, but never attacked at the same time just watching. She shut her eyes. Teh thought fighting for dominance.
"Shut up, you don't know me." she shouted clasping both hands, she didn't want to hear it.

"I don't know you, I know others like you." Gabby said, her eyes were bright and she wasn't scared now for some reason. "I know the pain, the helplessness, you want to do something, anything! But you can't, you're not strong enough or you don't know enough. So you do something to someone weaker, someone who you can hurt." Gabby didn't know if this was anywhere close to what had happened to Storm but it had happened to her and others so she thought she would give it a try. "It's a vicious circle you're trapped in Storm. But you're strong enough to break free." Gabby knew she was playing with fire and that she could get burned, but she could also help rekindle that part of Storm that was missing due to pain.

She couldn't take this. the words leaving Gabby's lips were not true, they couldn't be true. She straightened up blocking the words her wand raised. "No you can't know me, you never will know me, I don't even know myself, you can't analyze me, you can't manipulate the puppeteer, thats when you bring upon your own demise." she thought of the first curse that came to mind. Without any incantation she sent a curse, one that will injure a person internally without any external symptom. (Antonin Dolhov's curse en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spells_in_Harry_Potter)

Gabby doubled up, searing pain shooting through her torso. She managed to push Storm off her then stumble away. "Your worse than Emilian" She spat in Storm's direction, hatred in her eyes. Gabby twisted round and stumbled towards the edge of the forest. Gabby's chest was heaving as she fought for breath. She made it a few yards out of the forest onto the smooth green lawns before she collapsed. Her last thought before the dark enveloped her was ~I hope someone finds me~.
