Emilian shook his head slightly, staring blankly in front of him. Michael looked the same, had the same voice, the same smell, everything, but so completely different Emilian could barely believe that it was the same person. "How can someone change so much?"

Pandora didn't know exactly how to respond but knew he had to "He almost killed someone loved very much, something like that makes you take a good look at yourself. Guess he didn't like what he saw." Pandora took a breath and looked down at the ground. "No one could go through an event like that unchanged."

"He should never have fallen in love, at the very least not with someone not like him." Emilian couldn't even grasp that Michael had wanted to be with someone so different from him. Someday he would have to ask why exactly Michael had been with that girl.

Pandora knew exactly why, Dru had been what Michael needed. "People like that are intoxicating, they don't have expectations of you. They only know what little of your past you tell them and there is something about them that I don't know. Your soul and heart screams to protect them, from yourself, from your world, from everything." Their was something about the fragility of life that made it so much more beautiful.

It still didn't make much sense to him and he looked over at Pandora. "I don't..." he shook his head. "Nevermind, he's apparently a lost cause. With some work I could bring him back, though I don't know that it's worth it." Having his old friend back would be completely worth it.

Pandora nodded she hadn't really understood it up to now either "Its something akin to what my brother told me before he got disowned and left us a muggle I thought it was a bunch of shit, but now I think I might actually be beginning to understand it." It was a shock even for her that after years of wondering why something like this would actually make her see what it was he had gone through.

"I never imagined he would have changed this much." Emilian sighed, thinking back to the day Michael had left. He felt strange, as though a part of him was missing. It made him uncomfortable. "I don't like this." It was the most honest thing he had said the entire day. The most serious.

Pandora smiled sadly "No one ever does. When people change I don't think they ever realize how many other people they effect. That its not only their lives they're messing with, its our's too." For some reason she felt like she could talk to Emilian and he would actually in a way understand her, even better then Ryan. He wasn't that bad, behind the mask he was real.

"Why are you still talking to me?" Emilian wanted to get away from talking about Michael, it was bringing up ideas that he didn't want to consider. "This way, that is."

Pandora snapped out of it "No reason, I guess I was lost in my own thoughts." She paused trying to think of something else to talk about but came up blank. "So what is it that you would rather converse about."

Emilian stared down at her for a few long seconds before answering, "Honestly, right now, I'd rather do anything than 'converse.'" He didn't intend for it to mean anything physical, if she took it that way, no skin off his back, but if she just kept walking, that was fine with him as well.

Pandora had no idea what that comment was supposed to mean but they were almost out of the woods by now so she figured that it wouldn't take that long for them to get back to the castle. "Sure." she said and feel back into her own thoughts.

Emilian looked straight ahead of him, chewing his lip as he thought. Should he try to talk to Michael? or should he just leave him be? Should he go after Savannah, or be content with how he was? Questions flooded his mind and he wasn't able to keep them straight. His forehead creased as he tried to sort them out.

Pandora looked over at him after a short while her eyes searching he looked like he was thinking hard and maybe even slightly confused she wasn't sure. "What's wrong?" she asked hoping that it wouldn't be seen as prying but also wanting to get an answer.

Emilian turned his head slowly and looked at her. "Put yourself in my place." They had reached the edge of the forest and he let go of her arm and stopped walking. He went to a tree and leaned back against it, still watching her. "The person you've been closest to your entire life is completely changed, while you've stayed the same. What do you do about it?" The question really didn't need her to answer it, though part of him wanted her to.
