"You keep telling yourself that, Michael," Emilian said, his voice hard. "We both know that under this whole goody facade you put on you're still the same jerk your family and mine came to know and love." Michael was driving him insane, he was the same Michael that Emilian had grown up with, still slightly unsure, yet perfectly confident. But there was something different, perhaps more unsure than before, less confident, he wasn't really sure.

Michael looked down, away from Emilian's burning gaze. After a few moments he looked back up, matching Emilian's blazing eyes with his own. "Stop acting like you know me," he said fiercely. The painful truth was that Emilian knew him all too well, knew everything about him. He was worried about what Emilian would bring up, knowing that it would come soon.

"I don't have to act," Emilian said, pulling out his wand, "Do I need to remind you?" He gave Pandora and Ryan a glance saying he wasn't going to attack, and then waved it. A translucent image appeared in their little circle, a scene playing out of a day a few years before. Michael and Emilian standing above a muggle girl, her boyfriend hovering in the air above them, his eyes wide in horror at what they were doing to her. Their wands both pointed towards her and her mouth was wide, as though screaming. "Remember the good old days?" he asked with a small, smug smirk.

Michael tensed when he saw Emilian's wand, that all-too familiar stick of dark wood, but relaxed slightly when he saw what he was doing. The apparition sickened him, and he wanted to look away, but he couldn't. Michael remembered that day, remembered it well. He had enjoyed it immensely, with little pushing from Emilian to do it he had started practicing spells on the girl. Emilian had been proud.
The Michael in the scene looked up at the translucent Emilian and smiled, Emilian returned the smile with a prideful one of his own, he had taught Michael most of the spells. Michael pulled out his wand and waved it, muttering finite incatatum as he pointed his wand at the scene. "I would never do that again." Though the memory of how he had enjoyed it filled him and he could still feel some of that joy. It sent a shiver up his spine.

Ryan stood completly still as he watched the scene and then Michael sent it away. Ryan was sickened by what he had seen but he didnt say anything, from what he knew of Michael he wouldnt do that, not now at least.

Emilian could see the slight uncertainty in Michael's eyes. "If given the opportunity, I wouldn't give a second thought to you repeating that very same experience." His voice was soft, an undertone meant for Michael only, though he knew that the other two would be able to hear it as well. "It would only take one curse, one scream, and you would be right back to how you were."

Michael shook his head, though he wasn't sure, "No, I'll never go back." He tried his best to sound confident, though he knew in his heart of hearts that Annabelle and Dru were the only things keeping him from it. If either or both of them were gone....he didn't want to think about what would happen to him.

Now he was getting somewhere. Emilian was supposed to try to get Michael back, and it seemed as though it wouldn't be as hard as he thought it could have been. "Remember Quarra? We had fun with her. What about that muggle boy, Matthew?" He could go on for hours naming names, telling stories. "You're just a small, small step away from me, you think how you are now is better, tell me, how exactly do you enjoy this life more than your old one?"

"Shut up!" Michael said loudly, "I'm not like you, I'm not like that any more! I like how my life is right now, until you came over here it was perfect. You're delusional if you think I'll ever be like you again." Michael turned and walked a few steps away, going behind a tree and leaning against it. It was too much for him. Emilian knew just what got him and what to say to get him off. He was still close to the group, still within range of a wand if need be, he hadn't abandoned them, just needed a few moments to think.

Emilian was satisfied with the fruit of his labors, Michael leaving, if only a few steps away, meant that he was unsure, and it announced it loud and clear to Pandora and Ryan. "So," he said, smiling at them, "Who's next?" His eyes stayed on Ryan, all but begging the boy to say something to him.

Ryan looked right back at Emilian not letting on anything, knowing that he didnt need to say anything, that would only make things worse.

Emilian grinned at him, his wand down loosely at his side. "You never answered my question, Ryan." He hadn't seen Savannah since their meeting in the owlery, but had spoken to Michael about it, and he had said that she was in a bad shape.

Ryan looked at Emilian and sharply said "I dont have to answer a damn question that you ask."

"Mmmm," Emilian hummed, still smiling. "Angry at me? I believe that's plenty answer for me, if she was perfectly alright then you wouldn't be so snippy with me." Why Ryan had even come was a mystery to Emilian.

Ryan stood there not letting up on his glare, wanting with every inch of him to attack Emilian, but he didnt.
