Emilian shook his head. There wasn't anything that could make him explain everything to Mano. "Met her by the lake, got her in bed, survived her father's murder attempt, and went to Germany," he said, shrugging and finishing his glass. And that was all Mano needed to know, that was all he was going to be told by Emilian. If he wanted to know more, he would have to go search it out.

"Murder attempt?" Mano asked, setting the pictures aside by the book. "Is that where you got that scar?" He hadn't intended to put off asking so long, but was glad when the opportunity presented itself to ask with full reason to do it. He didn't know of what would give Emilian such a scar, but it promised to be a good story.

Emilian glared up at and shook his head, "No. The scars are from a duel with a Slytherin named Chase Firebrand. He has a few, too." He wasn't about to have Mano think that he had walked away covered in scars while the younger student had walked away with nothing. "He's fun to mess with, though, tell him he's good looking and he gets this wonderful look on his face..." he trailed off and grinned, shaking his head.

Mano chuckled and shook his head, then glanced over and picked up the book beside him. "If he looks half as bad as you do with that scar, I'll say I'm proud," he teased, opening the book on his lap. He knew that Emilian could be better with a wand, and he also knew that it wasn't very likely Emilian would try to be any better than he was with a wand.

Emilian sighed and shook his head, "What do you have now?" He tried to see what the book was, but wasn't close enough to Mano to look and be able to see what was on the pages. He assumed it was a text book left by Dare or Michael. What he could see didn't seem familiar, so who else could it have belonged to?

Mano raised an eyebrow, "Surely this isn't Michael's, even with those pictures there's no way." He tilted the book toward his chest, revealing the cover to Emilian. No matter how much Michael had changed, Mano couldn't imagine him keeping that kind of book. He was intrigued at the idea of Emilian having it, too, he couldn't see Emilian doing anything other than figuring things like that out on his own.
