Markise's nose wrinkled in displeasure. "Why would you want to hide out on the Knight Bus?" he asked. "I've been on the Knight Bus once and it was one time too many." Of course, he'd been suffering from the worst hangover he'd ever had and that likely hadn't helped, but that information was private.
"You could always just hope you don't need to hide out again," Markise suggested, only realizing the stupidity of the words after they'd been said. You couldn't really plan not to hide out, could you? Especially if her life was anything as drama-filled as his own.
"Just ignore that," he corrected himself. "This place is insane. Everyone should have somewhere to hide out once in a while." Outside in the beginnings of a snow storm worked, but if it got much worse he'd have to go inside whether he wanted to or not.

She shook her head, he was right, she really did hope she wouldn't need to hide out again.
"I'm not going to ignore it, you're right, I didn't think I really want another reason to hide out. My hiding out is probably something I'll regret in the long run." her eyes darted to the ground, her pink stained cheeks were now getting darker with color. She felt ashamed that she isolated herself and ran away from everyone.
Her balled up fists got tighter, he couldn't see them, but her face was just as tense, and she really couldn't control that.
"Hogwarts is drama central, I got used to that ages ago. I just... cant seem to let go of how much I contributed to all of it. It's almost as if I weaseled my way into everyone's lives." she chewed her lip, the only person who probably didn't resent her in some form or another was Pandora.
"Thankfully I can trust Michael and Pandora." she said to herself, what she didn't realize was that they came out as words from her lips. Unaware of that fact she looked up to Markise with a slight smile on her face, trying to cover the regret that was beneath it.

Markise's eyes widened slightly with surprise he told himself he shouldn't have felt. He had no idea who Pandora was, but he was more familiar with Michael than he preferred. He gave Lucretia a watery smile, hoping it wasn't too obvious, though he knew he was hopeless when it came to hiding his emotions.
"It's good to have friends," he said weakly. Thank God he had Anna right now or he'd have gone completely insane. Of course, that mention of Michael was pushing him toward insanity all on its own. It was his fault that Markise had lost his best friend. Bitter, unreasonable thoughts, maybe. Maybe. Michael wasn't a bad person, just completely spineless and a paranoid, jealous type.

She highly doubted Markise knew Pandora, she hadn't been around in ages, Pandora's disappearance was longer than her own which made Lucretia slightly frown.
"The name holds a certain significance to you?" she asked, an innocent enough question she thought. She put on a smile, she wondered why he was so surprised to hear Micheal's name. It was probably the last reaction she would expect. The again, after disappearing for a long time she barely knew anything about what was going on.

Markise's lips quirked into a dry smile. "I know Michael," he said simply. That wasn't anything the general public wouldn't know, nor was the fact that he knew Dare, though no one would know how much the three of them had been involved with each other. Markise had spent very little time with Dare since he'd moved to Hogwarts. That was Michael's fault.
Markise looked away from Lucretia, down the windswept street. "He's a good guy," he added. That much was true. Michael had rescued him a couple times, and Markise couldn't hate him no matter how much he told himself that he didn't like him. Of course, the past couple weeks had been miserable to begin with, and he knew his tendency to focus his misery on the nearest available target.

Lucretia didn't push it any farther than that. The expression on his face was enough to tell her that she was going into dangerous territory. Trying her best to change the subject she raised a hand slowly towards the school.
"Well then I suppose I could say there you have it. Hogwarts, home of drama, love and hate wars and a whole bunch of sabotage and gossiping. Wouldn't have it any other way." she reverted to the main reason that brought them to Michael and Pandora, returning to Hogwarts would make things seem lighter.
The cheesy smile on her face was plastered there, but the cold made it hard to keep up. Lucretia looked up and glared, as if by doing so the weather would change into something warmer.
"Grr, I'm a witch, I've got a kick ass wand, but it's not going to stop this." she said ushering to the snowflakes that dropped.
"Why couldn't I be born into a weather controlling mutant! I'm regretting being born into this bloody world already." she scrunched up her nose and looked back down towards Markise. Her attempt at looking serious failed and instead she had a look of a child who had found out that Santa didn't exist.

"So I can't call you Storm?" Markise teased, jumping gratefully onto the shift in topics. "I was thinking maybe I'd call you that, but if you're giving up your powers, there's no use, right?" He looked at Lucretia innocently, then gave a light sigh at her obvious discomfort.
"If you're that cold, you could always go in somewhere." He gave a disdainful glance toward the overcrowded shops, dismissing them from his suggestion entirely. "Well, there's other places. The Room of Requirement, right?" He'd only been in once, but he could definitely see its potential.

“Well seeing as how half the people I know call me that, I’ll make another exception for you. Special treatment from this wizardly mutant” The thought of the Room of Requirements made her eyes light up, her excitement was evident, she knew she would return just so she could fix up the shop, but an itching feeling to see the school again overpowered her.
“Well then, I shall accompany you to the Room of Requirements. It beats the cold and that.” She said using her head to usher towards the line of stores. Seeing the Room once more would bring back lots of memories, it was everyone’s favorite place.

"So true," Markise said. Even he was getting to the point of misery out here. Of course, they'd been standing still for how long? He gave a light nod of his head back in the direction of the school, then turned with Lucretia to start the journey. At least the wind was at his back now. He could keep his hands in his pockets instead of constantly having to pull his hood back into place.

(yup, Continued HERE) Lucretia felt the excitement, while they started their journey back to Hogwarts she realized that despite her excitement she wasn't sure what it was she really wanted the room to look like, maybe she could have Markise choose.
