"Thank you. That is very kind," Holly replied bowing her head. Holly sighed in her mind, realizing she had just done the submissive bow again. Would she ever be able to think of herself as equal to others? If only her father had not been so destructive...

Adara didn't consciously notice the light bow of Holly's head, so used to doing the same was she. Perhaps it was a bit strange being on the receiving end of such deference, but Adara reminded herself of her status and tried to accept the slight awkwardness of the moment. Adara nodded her own head briefly, then gestured farther down the path they'd been on. "The defense section is just ahead," she said softly, her gaze dropping for just a moment before she led the way.

Holly nodded ready to observe the section. Defense against the dark arts was useful, and fascinating. The young Ravenclaw had also noticed the prefect's similar manners. Had she been brought up in a similar setting?

When they had reached the beginning of the defense section, Adara looked aside at Holly again. "Is it basic defense you wish to learn?" she asked softly. "Against jinxes and hexes?" Anything more serious than that and Adara would have no choice but to tell the Headmistress. She had been so very strict about violence since the duel between Emilian and Chase, understandable once one saw the scars. The situation hadn't put the school into a favorable light, especially considering that Chase was Head Boy.

"Yeah just basic. I really do not think anything will happen but whatever." Holly looked over the titles and grabbed a thick book titled "Simple Defense Against The Dark Arts". Holly flipped through the pages skimming through the words. It was simple and easy. Hopefully, she could do it.
