Michael shrugged, "It's just what I've always been told. They said not to because it cleans the air, the rest are safe." He didn't know how true it was, but it had always made sense, and by the time he had realized that it didn't change anything, it was already ingrained in his mind as something he wasn't supposed to do. "It's turned into a habit."

Dare gave a low hm as he looked out at the snow. It sounded like one of those old wives' tales or something, but if Michael believed it, or if he practiced it, then Dare would play along. "So like, if it's snowing tomorrow it doesn't count as the first snow, does it?" he asked. If it did, he'd still try to hold out for Michael, but it was tempting...

"If it's still snowing tomorrow you can eat as much as you want," Michael said, grinning and nodding in agreement. He leaned in and kissed Dare's cheek, "We'll go out in it tomorrow." He just prayed that there would still be some there when they woke up the next morning. No classes, they could stay out all day if Dare could stand it.

Dare's lips curved at the thought, and at the sudden warmth of Michael's lips against him. He turned his head to look back at Michael again, his eyes shining in the moonlight. He almost couldn't wait for tomorrow, if only because the snow was falling so slowly, and he couldn't imagine it ever getting to be deep enough to do any of the things he'd thought people did in the snow. He didn't want to leave this, though.

"Your nose is red," Michael said softly, eyes sparkling as they met Dare's. His arm tightened around Dare and he looked toward the school. "We should go, if you're sick tomorrow you can't go outside." He figured that that would be a good enough reason to make Dare go inside without too much fight because he wanted to stay outside.

Dare's eyes widened a bit at Michael's threat, or at least Dare saw it as a threat. He couldn't imagine being sick making much of a difference, and he knew the cold didn't carry germs. It didn't make much sense, but all the same, he didn't want to take any chances and learn the hard way that Michael had been right. He wanted to be able to come out and see if the snow had done anything overnight. Dare slipped his free arm around Michael's back and nodded. He'd still be in the snow for the walk, at least.
