Emilian followed Dare and Michael into the living room, and when they were gone went to sit by Adara again. He pushed back the knowledge that Dare had seen her and put his arm around her. "Did you get to see it?" he asked her, pushing back her hair from her shoulder with his free hand.

Adara nodded lightly as she leaned into Emilian, glad to have him close again. She didn't know how she was going to survive without touching him every day. "Did you like the drawing?" she asked, turning a bit toward Emilian. She brought one hand up and smoothed it against Emilian's chest, her eyes following the motion of her fingers. She hoped that Emilian was not upset at all. Her lip found its way between her teeth at that thought.

Emilian watched her for a moment before nodding, "Very much." His hand trailed down to her jaw and pulled her up for a kiss. He didn't want to talk about the fact that in a few days he would be gone, it was as if he thought that, by refusing to speak of it, he would postpone it somehow and he would be able to keep her longer.
