Anna watched Chase leave from the doorway until he was out of sight, before someone else came walking down the street and she remembered where she was. She propped the door open to let in the nice weather, changed the sign to open, and began busily distracting herself with her morning tasks. Only when those were complete, and there was a break in customers, did she let her mind wander.
She wondered what she was really getting herself into. Anna found herself wondering what Chase thought of this. In several of her more modern muggle romances, she'd seen the term rebound used, and wondered if that's all this was. Chase being a replacement for Michael, and her for Dru. She didn't like that scenario though, and tossed it out when she reminded herself that their first kiss had been long before either of them had started dating their exs. What she was left with was real feelings. Lust and friendship. That's all she would admit to. She wasn't sure at what point lust and friendship would turn to something else, but decided to not let it. She would just have to remind herself of all of Chase's faults if she ever needed to remind herself why she couldn't completely fall for him.
