Shaw had put his jacket back on and leant against a tree. The snow was too cold and too wet to sit on and he couldn't help but wonder if the girls were under some sort of spell. He watched a snow ball whizz past him and laughed as one hit Gwen. He could never understand girls - one minute they're screaming in a lake, next thing they're laughing and joking in the snow. He shoved his hands deeper in his pockets and carried on watching their play. He was in no mood to join himself, but he was glad to watch all the same.

Riley laughed and threw another snowball at Gwen. "Why don't you fight back!" she challenged playfully. SHe looked over at Shaw for a moment and frowned slightly. She walked over to him well aware that she was a very easy target at the moment. She frowned at him again. "Why aren't you joining in Shaw?" she asked confused. She didn't know how anyone could not like to play around in a fresh layer of snow. She grinned evilly and walked back a few paces. She studied him up and down before bending to the ground and making an extra large snowball. She laughed maniacally and throwing it at him and running away farther. She looked over at Gwen and sent her an evil grin that said, "HA! He didn't even expect it!" and giggled.

Shaw took a look at the remains of the snowball on his jacket. Giving Riley a bemused look, he took out his wand muttering under his breath as cleaned himself off. It was tempting to throw her back in the lake, but that was too cruel. Instead he glanced at the trees near the laughing girl and pointed his wand at the heavy branches instead. Whispering beneath his breath, he gave his wand a little flick and watched with great amusement as the snow lifted itself from the branches and made it's way to where Riley was stood.

Gwen laughed at Shaw and laughed again when she spotted his wand pointing above Riley. She imagined it to be quite cold. She shoveled more snow into her hand and patted it down to the perfect snowball, which was harder than it looked. Aiming it at the already snow covered Riley she launched it out of her hand. "How's that for fighting back!" she yelled grinning proudly.
