Silver smiled and looked up at Anna again. Had she really liked his poems that much? Wow. God, he was definitely writing her some poetry. "Well, I'll...see you in the Common Room some time, then, yeah? Let you read something?" He had quite a bit of writing to do before he thought he'd be able to manage something he could really show Anna. His mind was already turning itself to the things he'd write that might be a little...much, considering he'd just met her.

Seeing that their conversation had pretty much ended, Anna stood, cradling the atlas in one of her arms. "Yeah, I'll hold you to it." She had intended sitting there and reading, but it would be weird to sit there and look through her book after all they'd talked about. She didn't imagine being able to focus on research right now anyway. So instead she smiled and said her goodbyes. "I should probably go check this out before I forget and walk out with it. Thanks for everything Silver."

Silver nodded, then, suddenly recalling propriety, pushed to his feet, juggling his own books for a moment before offering his hand for a handshake. His nerves were tense with expectation, but he forced himself to tamp them down. She was going to touch his hand, it was nothing, he told himself, even if he could remember their handshake earlier. "I'll...see you around," he said.

Anna lightly placed her hand in his, sensing something different, but not knowing Silver enough to figure out what. She let her hand linger in his as she met his beautifully green eyes. She hoped he knew that she truly was grateful for his company, and that she hadn't just been sending him meaningless complements about his writing. It was all there in her eyes as they locked with his before she broke the connection and took her hand back. "See you." She said before turning away and making her way to the checkout counter.

Silver exhaled a long breath he hadn't even realized he was holding the second Anna was out of sight. That moment of eye contact had been intense for him; Silver didn't realize how little he actually met people's eyes until it happened, and his blood was rushing for it. He stood for a moment longer, wanting to go check out his books, but Anna was up there now, so he made himself wait, sat and looked over his books again, then headed for the front, without a single thought as to the number of books he was borrowing. His mind was already stringing together the words that would have Anna blushing again.
