She's so...quiet. Michael laughed at that, "Quiet has nothing to do with it," he said. "I walked in on them, once, in the Room of Requirement." He didn't think that Emilian would go after the two of them, but he did worry that Emilian could decide to stop waiting and ruin what he and Adara had. "I would say we could bring Adara down, but I don't know that either of them would go for it." Adara seemed to caught up on her father's orders that she wouldn't be willing to chance it.

Dare arched an eyebrow at Michael's mention of having walked in on the two, but didn't ask for details. He didn't want to know. Still, some part of his mind was mildly curious to see them together. Dare put that aside to focus on the rest of what Michael had said. "I'd just stick with smuggling messages. They know what's going on, they can suggest smuggling her if they think it's a good idea." Considering what he'd gotten for just going in to draw, he figured passing notes was enough.

Michael nodded, "I don't figure they'd want it." He settled into watching Dare, falling silent for a few moments as he did. He would have been glad to stay there for a while longer, but then he remembered their last meeting and had to ask. "Did you get in touch with Silver?" he asked. He had actually began to look forward to the meeting, the nervousness had been pushed away the more he thought of it.

"Oh sh~," Dare said, glancing up again to see how high the sun had risen. "He's probably waiting. I didn't expect to get sidetracked. Dare looked aside at Michael, forcibly ignoring his sudden nerves. He told himself it was leftovers from the afternoon's events. "You ready?" he asked. Not that it mattered. He knew that Michael would come along. And it's not like they were declaring themselves, just testing the waters a bit.

"That is so a trick question," Michael said, grinning. Physically he was ready, and so far he was mentally and emotionally as well, though he knew that the second he saw Silver the nerves would come back. "But I guess so." His eyes gave away that the nerves were hiding just beneath everything else, ready to jump out at the most inopportune moment.

Dare squeezed Michael's hand in silent support, paused, then gave in and brought his lips to Michael's, his free hand rising to smooth against Michael's cheek. Maybe he was nervous, but there was nothing to do about that but face things. The thought seemed to apply to everything, not just bringing Michael to meet Silver, though that definitely played a part.

Michael returned the kiss, taking the comfort in it which slowly melted into pleasure. His hand came up to Dare's neck and his fingers ran up into his hair. He was glad for it, once again surprised by how much he enjoyed it. He wanted to intensify it, but Dare had said Silver was probably waiting on them, so he didn't want to get too lost in the kiss and postpone it much longer.

When the kiss finally ended, Dare was both a little more relaxed, and just energized enough to get some of his confidence back. His eyes searched Michael's a moment before he said, "We ought to go," then pulled himself to his feet, releasing Michael's hand to do so. He bent to pick up his sketchbook and tucked his new quill into the back pocket of his jeans, the silver fronds trailing out behind him. "He'll be out by the forest," Dare said, turning his mind forward.

Michael shocked himself by being momentarily distracted by the dancing silver trail coming from Dare's pocket and, after a second to pull his gaze away, he grinned at himself for it as he stood. He came up beside of Dare and glanced towards the forest, putting his hands in his pockets. "Alright then, let's go." It would be better to get it over with. Once he had the initial meeting done, he thought he would be alright, but it was getting to that point that was the hard part.
