Adara paused in the midst of buttoning her blouse and looked over at Emilian. "Nothing will change," she said. Even if she was being watched, her father would wait for them. She would go nowhere but the castle, and she would be quick about her travel. She resumed her task, smoothing her clothes into place. "You will be careful tonight, Emilian?" she asked. She did not believe that anything would happen, but she worried all the same.

"I'll lock myself in my bedroom, if that will ease your mind," Emilian said, grinning at her and trying to ease the tension he could feel just beneath the surface just waiting to come out again. He gave her a laughing glance before pulling on his shirt, the look just covering up his insecurities that something could happen. He came up to her, smiling, though he knew that she could probably see the worry just below.

Adara's hands smoothed her skirt, then rose to frame Emilian's face. I love you, she wanted to say, but held back the words. They were unnecessary. She kissed him once more, then left the shop and headed back towards Hogwarts. Tomorrow would come soon enough.
