Vannah grinned and kissed him even more deeply. It was wonderful, but being with him usually was. She leaned her head against his chest. "I love you." She said softly.

Vannah grinned. She allowed herself to get lost in this happiness. It was a nice change from the dread that had overcome her in the past few days since her encounter with Adrian. Vannah's head shot up. That was the first time she had even thought about the encounter with Adrian. She tried to push the thought and memories from her mind, but they were stubborn. Vannah pulled away from Ryan. "I-I have to go." She said as she slipped her clothing back on. "I have class." She said, her voice hollow. She couldn't remember what class she was supposed to be at until she realized it was her Flying Class. She stopped. "Nevermind." She said softly. Her back was against a tree and she slid down it so she was sitting at the trunk and sobbed.

Ryan watched Vannah with worry and went over ti her as she sat down and tried to comfort her "What is wrong Vannah?"

Vannah buried her head in her hands. She knew she couldn't speak with a steady voice so at first she didn't say anything. "I'm sorry." She said once her outburst settled down. Her voice was low. "It's just..." She started before stopping herself. She stared blankly at a tree, but she wasn't looking at the tree. "I can't believe it." She said softly.

"I--I talked to Adrian." Vannah said failing to keep her voice even. "He wouldn't tell me anything at first, not until I pulled my wand on him. He never was good at defending himself." Vannah decided to skip over most of the details. There were some things she didn't need to tell Ryan about the encounter. "My baby boy. He's--He's---I'll never--" She started to stutter, struggling to find the right words. "He's..um...gone." She couldn't say dead it didn't seem real at all.

During the encounter, Vannah had every intention of killing the man who had let her son die. She would've, too, but she didn't. She she couldn't figure out what had stopped her. "It's not fair." She sobbed.

Vannah nodded and stood up. "I-I have to get out of here." She said frantically. Her head started to pound. She felt like she were going crazy. Too much was happening at once.

Vannah nodded, it was a good idea. She stood up, wiped her tears, and brushed the dirt off of her clothes. She waited for Ryan to lead the way.

Ryan led the way to the edge of the forest and looked at Vannah "Wanna go to the shrieking shack, Room of Requirement, or anything else you can think of?"
