This time Gabby struggled against the kiss, pushing him off her roughly. "I am Larten. I'm trying, but I can't just forget in a moment that I was engaged to be married, to the person I was expecting to be with for the rest of my life. It can't happen over night." she said, feeling frustrated that she apparently wasn't allowed to make decisions about her life.

She shook her head. "I don't know Larten" she said honestly. "I've got to go." she said, going to the door. She looked back at Larten over her shoulder. She opened her mouth to speak, then closed it again, not knowing the words. She sighed and stepped outside.
