Cassie thought through all the answers she could give to that question, but none would she actually say. "I love art as well, I studied that along side dance, though I focused on dance. Other than that, just the usual really." Cassie had many hopes and dreams, but they were private and she wasn't about to give Lucretia a weapon against her. "So have you got any?" she asked politely.

The side step gave Lucretia something to grasp on. This sparked her interest as she came closer to the other side of the room, but preferring to stay in her dark side, she was much more comfortable. The book was still in her hand as she held it up caressing the spine as if she were soothing a child to sleep.
"Oh yes plenty, not that they would be any interest to you." she said a small glint in her eyes that would be unseen. Lucretia's face was illuminated in the dark. The flicker from the torch light was not only lighting up her cheek. It would be impossible to see her expression which was a smirk.

"Why not?" Cassie asked, slightly curious. She was fed up of this game and she felt as if she was in the dark. "You can watch me dance, if you want to that is" Cassie offered. She wasn't enthralled by the idea of Lucretia as her audience, but at least it meant she was dancing again and she could have a reason to not talk to her for at least a few minutes.

Lucretia smirked, step one was complete, her odd mind was working in different twisted ways again. She leaned against the wall with her shoulder, showing that she was watching.
"Not why not, but more of, what is." another enigma thrown. Her words could mean several things and she was not giving that up, nothing better than throwing in two odd words to get someone started up.
"The blue bird drowns when nothing is what it is." she said under her breath, she was sure Cassie heard, but that didn't matter, it would only add on to the weird thoughts in mind.

Cassie ignored Lucretia's mutterings, not understanding them and not bothering to try. She walked back into hte middle of the room she had created and let the room brighten a little, but not too much. She closed her eyes, pplacing herself in the emotion of the dance. Previously she had been choreographing a new dance, but now she chose to perform one of her most recent roles. It was filled with a sadness yet threaded with joy and triumph.

Lucretia just stood there motionless. She wasn't exactly watching the dance, she was buried in her own mind at this point. Distracting herself with other thoughts that meant much more to her than watching a silly dance. Her mutterings went on, Cassie probably couldn't hear as it was very quiet. Her words were enigmas to her own mind, but they just flowed from her lips and she could not control her ramblings.

Cassie let the silent rhythm fill her and she began to retrace the steps that had been drummed into her for the performance. It had been the highlight of the night and she had been alone on stage, a spotlight following her. She was taken back to that time now, she forgot she was at the castle, forgot she was in the room and forgot that only one person was watching. She moved gracefully, her steps controlled and her spins tight. As she reached the last spin, staying in one spot and rotating over and over again, she felt her spirit lift. She whirled to a stop and smiled.

Lucretia grinned. She wouldn't lie the girl was good, but there was something different when she danced compared to the one time she had seen her friend Pandora dance years ago. there was a controlled stiffness in the girls movements as if she was in another time, but not in another state of mind.
"The blue bird soars, but never reaches above the clouds." she said another one of her enigmas thrown out. She was smirking to herself now, her eyes completely blank.

Cassie shrugged and grinned again. Without saying a word she began to dance again. She had understood about the blue bird, and Cassie knew that she could soar and shoot through the clouds and reach the stars. This time, her dance wasn't something she had learned by heart, the moved weren't calculated for their effect, they were free, coming to Cassie freely and swiftly. She lost herself in the music of her heart, completely forgetting why she had started dancing in the first place as she revelled in the sense of tranquility and passion dance always gave her.

Lucretia noticed a change in the girls dance. She waited for it to come to an end before a cruel thought came to mind.
"You seem to be the type dictated by others, why the sudden difference?" set up of the trap had begun, her twisted mind forming different scenarios, it was funny that she was able to easily get Cassie last time, now Lucretia would see if the girls had picked up on her mind. It would be very different this time.

Cassie looked up at Lucretia, immdeiately focused on her little game again. She smiled blandly at Lucretia, let her think what she wants. "When I dance I do several things, I learn new techniques, learn structured performances and dance jsut for pleasure. You just saw two out of three." Cassie said, explaining sweetly to Lucretia. She opened her hand and a bottle of water thudded into it from the room. She took the lid of and drank some, giving herself time to think.

Lucretia's eyes sparkled for a moment, that scenario had come to mind. She paused for a second thinking of a proper way to word herself without giving away too much information.
"Learn structured performances... I never knew you could learn how to perform, I thought you practice movements and the choreography not how to perform..." she paused for a moment before thinking a little bit more her brain pumping. Lucretia knew that she never had to say the right things, hell most of the time she said things that were wrong, but it was the after effect that counted.

"Right, what makes a preformance is the spirit you bring to it. You have to reflect yourself in the dance without removing the essence of the dance" Cassie said as she put the lid back on the bottle. Suddenly she let go of it, but it disappeared before it even hit the ground. She smiled softly at Lucretia, decided to bring her own rules to the game. "You wouldn't understand dear, you're not a dancer" Cassie said sympathetically, as though she was apologising that Lucretia wasn't a dancer.

She shook her head, a small grin on her face.
"It's not just dancers my dear. The spirit of fighters, the samurai's of old fought with a certain grace. There was no fear or shame, but the performance of there dance, the dance of blade." she felt the pull of her grin, true she was no dancer. But she had been trained in fighting with weapons.
"It is not just dancers or physicality, but writers, they pour emotions in there pages, the flow of words. Painters a vision in mind coming to life... no my dear, I do understand, it is you who believes that it is only dancing that brings joy to the hearts of many and opens up a persons soul." she crossed her hands over chest, she had barely begun, and things were going pretty well so far. One thing was certain was that Lucretia was dead serious about what she had said.

Cassie's temper was starting to fray, who did she think she was to lecture Cassie about a person's spirit. She shifted her body weight, folding her arms. If she wanted to get a reaction from Cassie, then fine, she would get one. Her performance in class hadn't been impressive, and she knew many people had laughed at her. But most people did not know the real Cassie, including Lucretia. "Who the hell are you to tell me what I do and don't believe. I don't think you know what's up here" Cassie said. tapping he head. "And that's not an invitation in either" she said, her voice sharp. "You obviously get some sick satisfaction from trying to mess with people's heads, so congratulations you messed with mine" Cassie said sarcastically, gesturing rather wildly with her arm.
