Gabby reached the pitch ahead of anyone else and used it to her advantage. She mounted her broom and kicked off, soaring into the sky. Her hair was loose and the wind whipped through it, it felt so good to be flying again. She looked down to see if the others were coming.

The walk to the pitch didn't take too long to make and soon enough Gwenhwyfar was standing there with her broom stick in hand, her father had wanted her to be interested in flying so he had gotten her every new broom the moment it came out so she would never be behind her peers. She looked up at the sky and then back at Storm "You sure your fine just being down here, you can use my broom if you want." She was pretty sure that there was one of her older ones that she could find for herself to ride if need be.

The thought of using someone else's broom felt degrading, once again her pride got in the way.
"I said no." she snapped angrily, she wanted to be left alone in the stands. She sat down and pulled out a small pouch and upturned it so that a small book and notebook fell out. With a spell they grew into their normal sizes. She opened the book scanned the first page and kept flipping every once in a while she would right something down, she was ignoring both the girls who were with her, at least this way she would be with them, but not have to part take so that Gwen wouldn't annoy her.

Gabby watched the other two girls talking on the ground, then she saw Storm take something out of her bag and start ignoring Gwen. Gabby swooped towards the ground and hovered. "Leave her to it," Gabby said to Gwen, "Come on, let's see what you're made of." Gabby had a smile on her face, she thought she and Gwen would get on well with each other.

Storm smirked to herself, at least the little girl got her point. She didn't look up as Gabby's voice got near. Instead she jotted down notes from her books, however you could tell that the book was not related to school.
"Run along you two, don't be bothered with me." she said as if talking to little children, in Gabby's case it was to mock her, in Gwen's just because she felt like it. She may seem like she was ignoring both, but she was keeping a careful eye on both girls, in case they tried any stunt on her.

Gwenhwyfar shrugged and then smiled as she mounted her broom flying up into the air before doing a flip with her broom, she liked doing flips and things whether on her broom or on land. It was just so much fun, she looked down at Storm hoping that she wouldn't be too lonely all by herself but figuring that she would be fine at least for a while. It didn't take long before her broom had found itself a place near Gabby's "So how do you like the school and stuff?"

She gave a sigh of contentment as they left. She really didn't want to be here, but some distant memory had made her suggest this place, these girls would be her reason for being here, even if she hated the pitch she shut her eyes a smile on her lips as a feeling of nostalgia washed over her.

"I love it, it's definately a home away from home," Gabby said, focusing on her conversation with Gwen and trying to ignore Storm. "It can be hard to get used to, but it's great once you're settled in." Gabby decided to neglect to mention that in the short space of two weeks she had managed to get a large part of the school populus to hate her. Gabby made up for this thought with an open, encouraging smile.

It was official Gwenhwyfar liked talking with Gabby, the other girl was just so great and stuff. "Yup, I think that it must be one of the nicest places ever." She looked down at Storm, the one dark spot in her day was that she didn't know what was going on or what to do with it. "Why doesn't she like yo?" She asked innocently flying around in a circles.

Gabby bit her lip, trying to supress laughter, she knew it wasn't funny but whenever that night by the lake was brought up, it always brought a smile to her lips. "A few nights ago, I was down by the lake when I met Storm and another slytherin girl, Vannah, we had a bit of a disagreement and I ended up shooting spells at them." Gabby couldn't help it and a little giggle escaped from her lips.
Briefly on an impulse she whizzed round and tried a new trick her older cousin had taught her. She did a flip in the air, but halfway through she slipped from her broom as though she was about to fall, then swivelled round before mounting once again as she came level to the ground.

Gwen didn't quite understand what was so funny about spells being exchanged, that wasn't the way to end an disagreement only to make it worse. She watched Gabby do a trick and laughed before doing one of her own, but her's were slightly different with Gwen it was more her asking herself can I do something and then doing it over and over again until she could. So for hers she let go of the broom and did a flip grabbing a hold of the broom again over twenty feet lower. She went up again to where she had been before. She looked over at Storm "I wonder what happened." She said voicing her question for the first time out loud.

Storm looked up at the girls, they seemed to be talking, and she hoped it wasn't about her. They were flying out of hearing distance, but she could clearly read their lips from where she sat.
"I was hurt in every possible way imaginable." she muttered to herself, answer the question she read of of Gwen. She stood up shrinking her books and throwing them back in her robes. She looked over the edge of the pitch leaning again the railing. The distance was so far, but she was never afraid of height. She wanted to know how it felt like to just fall, plunge all that distance without thinking about anything else but the adrenaline pumping in your veins. She leaned farther in till she could feel her legs lift off the ground, she smirked then pulled back, a frown on her lips.

Gabby happened to look down at where Storm was sitting, but she didn't find her sitting, Storm was leaning dangerously far over the railing. Gabby swooped down on her broom until she was level, opposite Storm. "What on earth did you think you were doing?" Gabby exclaimed her face white.

Storm looked up at Gabby. The frown was gone replaced by a glare.
"Why does it matter to you." she said scathingly. Anger was bubbling up in her, and as of now she couldn't control it, blind rage.
"Your a child you no nothing about life, everything is laid out perfectly for you, I envy you." she said her voice deranged, she couldn't control what she was saying. Everything was hazy, nothing made sense, and nothing coming out of her mouth did either.

"So you think with this I'm perfect?" Gabby asked, showing her scar. It seemed that recently she had been using it more and more to defend herself. "I only came down because I don't want you to get hurt or anything, I might not like you that much, but I don't hate you and I wouldn't wish pain on you."
Gabby let her top cover her scar again and flew away from Storm, giving her one last glance before she turned and concentrated on flying away. She zoomed over the castle until she dropped down onto the roof. she couldn't stop it, tears started to seep from under her eyelids.
