Amaryllis swung her leg over her broom, and flew up into the air, to get a bit of adrenaline into her blood stream. She swung the beater a few times, feeling the wonderful way the weight of the beater felt on her muscles. Making her way back to terra firma, she made her way over to the others. "Right this is it, Good Luck everyone, lets show them how Quidditch is supposed to be played." Feeling more confident, Amaryllis grinned at the others, then waited to be given the go ahead to get started.

Spencer soared around the stadium, his feet just grazing the ground. It was a good feeling, afterall. He went back the center to prepare to kick off.

"Yeah," said Derek, finishing his count, "there's only five of them out there. What position is Potterslouth playing?" ((Spencer isn't listed on the Slytherin team roster.))
"The Ravenclaws seem to be down one chaser and one beater, too. You'd have thought they'd've made the effort for the quidditch cup!"

In the commentary box, Danny had spotted the lack of players too. "It's nearly time to start folks, but both teams seem to have two members short! I wouldn't like to be one of those missing Slytherins when Zabini gets hold of them!"

Lila came rushing onto the pitch, the edge of her robes flying behind her. "Sorry, sorry, overslept, but I am here now, and that's what matters at the end of the day." Jumping onto her broom, she soared up to Vanessa. "I'm soo sorry Vanessa. I'm sure someone must have put something into my dinner last night. One minute I was in the libary doing Homework, the next thing I wake up, pages stuck to the side of my face, and the librarian looking as if I was nargle infested."

Draco kicked off of the ground and flew straight up in the air. He could feel the excitement from everyone in the stands. It was their first game and everyone anticipated this game. Draco flew around a couple times to get use to handling his broom. When satisfied, he hover and waited for the game to start.

"It's okay Lila, Draco, it's about time the two of you got here. You won't be in trouble this time, I'm feeling gracious. But next practice you had better be here on time or I'm bumping you off the team. OKAY EVERYONE GATHER AROUND!" she yelled to her team. As soon as they all were there, she said, "Okay, let's play our best and win. Some of the other students are making bets on Ravenclaw. We've worked hard and we are all like family here. We can do this, you konw it and I know it." She put her hand in. "Slytherin on three. 1, 2, 3, Slytherin!" she yelled and got in her position to play.

"Well, the Slytherins are still missing chaser Pansy Parkinson, but look in better shape than Ravenclaw, who are two short. We're just waiting for Professor Karr to give the signal now..."

Vanessa immediately flew up and started looking around frantically the field for the snitch. She was also very careful to watch the other players in case she needed to call a time out. She wondered if she could call in Serenity Kedavra to replace Parkinson temporarily. 'Just wait until I get my hands on her, she will not be on this team any longer.' Vanessa thought and continued her concentration.
