Brooke walked into the Three Broomsticks before walking up to the counter. In her opinion is was pretty much the best bar in town, not that the town had that many to choose from. She made her order and after getting her drink took a table near the window where she could watch the street. She was listening to music on her ipod, she might never forgive the school for the spells that kept electronical devices from working there, and was generally ignoring everyone.

Emilian walked into the three broomsticks, if only because he couldn't stand sitting alone in his living room for another evening and didn't want to bother Adara. He ordered a firewhiskey and took it, planning on sitting at the bar, but he saw the girl that had been his first customer and walked over. "Brooke, right? Still like the choker?" he asked, sitting down without waiting on an invitation.

Brooke barely heard what he was saying so she quickly turned off the music and took out her headphones. She had been able to make out most of it so she responded in kind "Yes and yes, I hear you sold some earrings to my Gabby." They had to have come from him there wasn't really another place in town where Gabby could have gone shopping.

Emilian sneered and took a large drink from his bottle. "Yes, the little girl came in," he said, wrinkling his nose. His shoulder twitched from where she had sent some spell at him earlier that day, "Your Gabby? I never would have pinned you two to be friends." If only because he couldn't stand Gabby and Brooke seemed like she could be rather pleasant company. At that thought, he let himself look at her, from the safety of the other side of the table.

Brooke smiled at his reaction, so maybe Gabby didn't seem to be the type of person Brooke would normally accosiate with. In truth she really wasn't but that had no baring on a situation like their's. "Yes my Gabby, I guess you could say I adopted her in a way." Explaining the complexity of Gabby being her precious project would be probably a bit much.

"Maybe you should teach her to not attack those older and stronger than herself," Emilian said darkly, taking another drink. "Tell her to stay out of other people's business." He put his drink on the tabletop, wrapping one hand around it and leaning back comfortably in his chair. He had never met someone quite like Gabby, other than Ryan. When he thought about it, they fit each other a little too well. Perhaps they were actually twins separated at birth with growth defects.

Brooke nodded slightly "We're working on that, along with being able to beat people stronger then herself, wearing awesome clothes and pretty much just looking hot." She knew that Gabby had problems picking fights and the way she went about them when she did. After all the greatest battles weren't won with wands but with wits and Gabby would need to learn that as well. But Gabby was just so sweet and Gabbyish that teaching her anything about the art of social warfair was going to be a difficult process.

"She's absolutely disgusting, just as bad as Ryan." Emilian didn't care if he offended Brooke, he was just glad that their conversation had taken a turn to talking about someone else, instead of an innuendo and stress filled talk, something he really didn't care to have twice in the same day. "They're both so...." he hunted for a word for a moment, "Naive," he finally decided on.

Brooke's eyes flashed slightly gaining an sharp edge to there sparkle and her mouth formed into a closed liped smile. "Maybe she is naive but by no means disgusting." She was completely loyal to the few people that she concidered to be her friends and Gabby was almost like a little sister to her. If Emilian knew anything he would keep his mouth shut on the subject and she might eventually be able to forgive his slip of the tounge, though she would not forgive it if he said anything of the sort to Gabby herself.

Emilian shrugged and took another drink, "To each his own, I suppose. But I know that if she ever pulls her wand on me again Ryan will have yet another reason to hate me." Emilian realized then that he had, basically, taken two girls from Ryan. Savannah and Adara. The corner of his lips turned up in a smirk, maybe it would be worth it, he figured he could get into one of their minds enough to convince them to break it up. Ideas floated around in his head, even if he wouldn't act on them.

Brooke took a slow drink and stared over at the person across from her "And if you leave her alone I won't have a reason to want you dead." She said in a icily sweet tone. She did like him but that could change very quickly depending on his behavior. And one of the easiest ways to get on her bad side at the moment would be doing anything to Gabby that could be concidered emotionally physically of psychologically harming.

"You wouldn't be the first one to want me dead," Emilian said, smiling broadly. It made his scar almost painfully obvious to him, and he clenched his bad fist on top of the table. He was also keenly aware of the hidden line spanning his chest. He tipped his head to her slightly and took another drink. He hadn't had much firewhiskey before, even so, he was already getting a taste for it.

"I don't want to want you dead but I do hope you wouldn't kill Gabby." Brooke responded the iciness gone from her tone and her smile to the way it normally was, he had such a lovely smile after all and she didn't have a reason to hate him until he actually did something and hopefully that would never happen. "Promise me you won't go after her unless she does something really nasty." Brooke had heard of how Gabby fought the girl didn't know how to do nasty.

"Considering I'm not allowed up in the castle, my chances to go after her will be rather limited." He lifted his drink, "And I don't make promises," he said with a grin before making a motion like a toast and taking a drink. He didn't care about going after Gabby, anyway. If she came to him and annoyed him, he couldn't promise he wouldn't do anything.

"Fine I guess I'll have to take what I can get." Brooke said returning the toast and taking a drink herself, she leaned forward against the table and looked at him her eyes brushing across his face and the part of his body not hidden by the table. "How's business going, am I still your favorite."
