Shaw looked at Gabby with surprise. "He cheated on you and you forgive him and ignore his goings on?" He shook his head, noticing his fingers were green from rubbing the blade. "Man, what is it with girls dating idiots?" He said, briefly thinking about Adara and her strange relationship. "Do you take your own advice? Or do you write what you want to hear?" Shaw threw the piece of grass away and picked another blade, repeating what he had done with the latter.

Gabby smiled at shaw lazily. "If you had a girlfriend, I'd say the same to her, 'why are you dating an idiot'. I know he doesn't really deserve it, but he makes up for it and nobody's perfect. I mean, he dived in front of a curse for me so that helps" Gabby said smiling ruefuly as she remembered that day by the lake. "I try to write what I think is good advice, but it doesn't always work out. I mean look at me and Ryan, if it was someone else, I'd have told them to dump him and not look back." She sighed, looking out over the lake. "Ultimately, I'm happier with Ryan than not so," Gabby trailed off.

Shaw raised his hands in defiance. "I'm not an idiot." he said, frowning. "I may be many things, but not an idiot." He smiled back to show he wasn't insulted. "I just don't understand why girls let it happen. Is it the thrill of it or do they think they will change 'em." He tutted as he glanced out to the lake. "But if you're happy for the majority of the time. On your head be it." Rolling up the blade of grass between his fingers, he flicked it out towards the lake.

Gabby laughed, "You still don't get me" Gabby got her wand and flicked it, making bubbles emerge from the end as she was bored and the spell she used was rather amusing, "It's a variation of a clean spell, my grandmother did it" Gabby said as she watched the bubbles float off in the sky.

"I don't think I'll ever understand you or any other girl. Complex creatures." Shaw watched Gabby make bubbles with her wand. "Nice. Take it your grandmother was a stay at home wife?" His grandmother was the same. Whilst his grandfather went out to work, his gran would stay at home and keep house. Seeing that chores took next to nothing to do, often she would meet up with her friends, often taking Shaw with him where he was spoilt by his gran's friends. He smiled at the recollection.

"My grandmother was a mystery." Gabby said smiling. "She left me a huge book full of spells that she either copied out there, or created herself, there's so many I haven't had chance to read them all yet. This is one of my favourites." Gabby said, as she made the bubbles different shapes and colours.

"Right." said Shaw, matter of factly. "Have you used them for anything over then just making bubbles?" He asked, bemused by her fascination. He could feel his stomach beginning to churn, hunger pains settling in. "Do you want to go grab something to eat? I am starvin'"

"I can make squirts of soapy water come out the end." Gabby replied a split second before soaking Shaw. Gabby grinned as she pulled on her skirt and top. "Sure, wherever you want to go" she said slipping her shoes on.
