I seem to be complaining a lot at the moment Apologies. However, my other half and I found the perfect wedding venue, only to discover yesterday that it's gone into administration and is up for sale. Thank God we didn't put the deposit down.

I hate the fact that my dad's pissed. But you know what? I never even implied that I would want effing Lego Indiana Jones for my new xbox. Why the heck would I want that game? I have never wanted one of the lego games. He shows up home and throws it at me "Saw it at walmart for ten dollars, thought you'd like it."
Me: *blinkblink*
Oh yes father, I love to play with little lego figures on the xbox, I'm going to immediately stop playing my much better games Left 4 Dead and Fable II to play it! -_- And now he's pissed that I'm not excited about it. Well, I'm sorry, daddy, but I'm not going to feign excitement over a wasted ten dollars.
[/rant]
edit: Correction, I just hate my father, right now. -_-

I hate. So. Much. But I've gone over and over and over all of that with three different people who were all very patient, so I'll just get to the point; I hate people who give young children free reign over what they eat (ie, 1800 calories worth of 131g of sugar in one day).

From above: 1, 4, 5, 5, 5, 6, 7, 9, 9, and 5.
Edit: Let's add my bank. Because of 1. I ask for a loan and they give me a web address which turns out to be an obscure search engine I'd never heard of. What the hell?!

I hate....cancer and I especially hate it when a family member has it. And I hate not knowing how bad it is. And I hate having to wait until monday afternoon to find out more. I hate not knowing if it's a big deal or if they found it soon enough. I hate that it's the same cancer farra fawcett died of. I hate how I'm worrying so much. And I hate how I guarentee monday afternoon I'll find out that he's going to be totally okay and I made a big deal about nothing. I hate my overactive imagination!

Adrian Piper (she's awesome, look her up) wrote that the way to "maintain your integrity and freedom of thought and still participate in the art world [. . .] is always to choose maintaining your integrity and freedom of thought over the art world whenever the two conflict." For the layperson: If selling out makes you hate yourself, don't do it. So why am I going to change that logo anyway? Why am I going to add colors and shapes that have nothing to do with anything and make skeletal-thin fingers on a logo for an entity that assists handicapped people? Because I told them I would. Is that selling out? If I do it again, yes. I worked a job like that, and it sucked my soul dry. I mean, as a graphic designer, you've already sold your soul for a paycheck, but you still have access to it now and then. I should save my eloquence for the papers I need to write by Wednesday.

Feel free to not read this rant.
Being poor! I'm so effing sick of this! I've been struggling to stay afloat for an effing DECADE, working my ass off at thankless jobs, saving every effing penny, taking out loans for school because fast food couldn't support me, wearing effing hand-me-down clothes, broke-down furniture and an effing hoop ride, and now my utilities are scheduled for cutoff! You know what happens then? I can't do my school work, and someone'll probably take my roommate, leaving me alone with my effing prescription meds and NO EFFING HOPE. I'm supposed to graduate in effing December! I had to pay my effing school bill or I was getting kicked out my last effing semester! *starts virtually throwing things, kicking them aside, and tearing them to shreds, shouting obscenities directed at school, utility companies, and life in general*

I hate that the box that controls the entire building's internet access is located in my next-door-neighbor's apartment. And that since he didn't pay his electric bill, all our internet has been out since Thursday morning. I also hate whatever circumstance led to someone throwing the main switch to my electricity (which is located outside, conveniently on the side of this same neighbor's building) to OFF, thereby leading to no alarm clock Friday morning. Not funny, person. Not funny at all, even if you were trying to get Mr. Doesn't-pay-his-bills. His switch was the one wired into place, btw.
On a lighter note, I finally got the wireless to work somehow. As long as the weather stays clear I should be safe...
