Emilian rolled his eyes, "Well he did it, barely missed me too." His close call with death still made him shiver slightly when he thought about it. With the memory came a flash of green light. Then something clicked in his brain, "Wait, did you say Chase?"

"Yes, I believe I did. Why?" Vannah asked eyeing him suspiciously. Something clicked, she remembered the day Chase had arrived which was not too long ago if you thought about. "Did you know him before?"

Emilian wasn't able to stop himself from grinning, "He's the one that's with Dru, while at the same time going around with Lucretia behind Dru's back."

"You underestimate him." Vannah observed with a sly smile. "I'm pretty sure there are more than that, there definately has been before." She was about to say more, but then remembered who she was speaking to and she shut her mouth.

"I underestimate him? I seem to recall Dru telling me that she had a boyfriend, that she was taken, what kind of a man is he, to cheat on his girl like that?" Emilian grinned and leaned forward a small bit. The small motion twisted his skin just so to where it pulled at the boil and he winced, groaning lightly and sitting back, one hand going between his legs in an unconscious gesture.

"Ha! There's so much you're going to learn here." Vannah said. "Rule number one. Nothing is ever what it seems here." She said as she moved her eyes around the room.

"Oh really?" Emilian asked, his voice tense, "And how does that apply to you?" It felt as though he may have slightly ripped the skin covering the boil, and he silently cursed Chase, hoping only that the other guy was in as much pain as he was.

Vannah slowly brought her eyes back. She cocked her eyebrow. "That's for me to know. And no one will find out." She said vaguely. Well, maybe one person but he wasn't going to tell....she hoped.

Emilian rolled his eyes and pushed himself up. "I'm not staying in here, it's pointless." He took a few seconds to get used to standing up with the annoying and very painful spot between his legs.

Vannah shrugged. "Whatever." She said carelessly.She turned back around while she let her eyes wander around for something to occupy her time.

Emilian looked at her, why on earth she was willing to stay, he'd never know, she was a strange one. He couldn't stop himself looking her over before leaving the room without saying another word to her.
