Pandora nodded "Define new?" She said thinking back at the time that had passed "I've been here for a short while so I'm not technically new but compared to the rest of the student population very much so." She smiled and turned to face him. "And yourself Chase?" She said copying the tone he had used when saying her name.

Chase's lips curved reflexively into a smirk. "I've been here a couple months," he said with a light shrug. He leaned back against the wall, making himself comfortable. "Doesn't sound like long, but it's been long enough to make a name." And a reputation, but that went without saying. "If you're looking for a good time, you're too late," he said.

Pandora shrugged "I heard that too, as I said before someone's got you on a very short leash." So short in fact that it was painful to watch. She looked down at the ground and then back up at him "It's so so sad." She breathed moving slightly towards him.

Chase's eyes lit with interest he wouldn't let himself act on. "She's making it worth my time," he said, the tone of his voice implying even more than the words. It didn't really matter if they were true right now. Dru had made him certain unspoken promises, and those promises were what kept him from pulling Pandora into a less occupied corridor.

Pandora tried her hardest to stifle laughter "Oh really, so worth your while that it makes up for freedom and being able to have fun whenever you want." There was no way that he could be as whipped as he was acting right then, right? Pandora hoped not, besides it wasn't like his girlfriend was watching him every moment of the day and night.

Chase's jaw tensed. He didn't see a reason to dignify that with a response, possibly because he was still trying to work out the logic of monogamy in his own mind. He wasn't having much fun lately, and it was driving him crazy. "Y'know what? It's none of your business, Pandora. I'm getting what I want, so just stick to things you actually know about."

Pandora looked at him, loving his reaction. "Oh and if you are really getting what you wanted, that reaction is a little uncalled for don't you think." She smirked and reached out a hand to touch his arm. It was pitiful how loyal he was trying to be especially when he didn't believe it himself.

Chase shrugged Pandora's hand off his arm. It looked like he had another Vannah to contend with, someone whose main joy was making others miserable. "Think whatever the hell you want," Chase said. He didn't give her any further ammunition.

Pandora sighed "Ok I'm sorry I probably overstepped. I just don't see how someone can be happy like that and it bugs me. But if you think being in a monogamous relationship is the best thing, so be it. You've got a lot of guts." She began watching people again. She didn't understand how they did it stay with one person when she knew for a fact that most of the time they would all like more then one person at the same time.

Chase shrugged again, not really mollified, but unwilling to keep arguing just for the sake of it. Pandora hadn't said anything he hadn't already thought about, and he didn't feel like thinking it all over again right now. "It's worth trying once," he said at last, mostly to himself.

"Yeah thats for people to get married or when they are having some kind of identity crisis and need someone else to affirm their lives." She had a very negative view on marriage mostly because of her parents and their entire society.

"No," Chase said. "That's not going to happen." It was more than enough knowing he was staying with one girl, without thinking of being with her forever. Forever was a long time.

"Good to see you haven't totally lost it." Pandora said when suddenly a thought hit her"Does your darling girlfriend know you think like that." She figured that if any girl is going to make a guy be loyal to only her she has to have some hope for the future. It seemed like a lot of girls were like that, there minds always went to happily ever after without pausing to realize that life wasn't a fairy tale.

Chase shrugged. "Yeah. She knows I'm just in it to see what happens." Of course, she probably expected him to realize he enjoyed it, but he hadn't started seeing the benefits yet. "Figured I'd try something different for a change." Chase looked at Pandora. "Don't tell me you've never had a boyfriend," he said, the words only partly teasing. She looked like the type who'd keep three or four guys on a line, in different houses so they'd never meet.
