Chase grinned. "One." Little did she know that he intended to let her win this time. "Two." He wondered what terms she'd name. There was only one way to find out. "Three!" With a noisy splash, Chase headed after Storm, fast enough that he was pretty sure he'd almost catch up.

Storm took off as fast as she could, relaxing her muscles as strain would only slow her down. She kept going not looking back. After a few minutes the shore was extremely close. She finally got there pulling herself up and smiling at Chase. 'That was easy' she thought to herself she could feel herself shivering from the breeze and immediately began drying her hair with her wand.

Chase waded out of the water just a bit behind Storm, finally getting a chance to appreciate the two-piece swimsuit that did more to accent than to cover her. He grinned wickedly, then gave a shiver as a cool breeze swept through, halfheartedly attempting to dry him. "You win," he said to Storm. Chase grabbed up his clothes and pulled out his wand to dry himself, leaving his hair for now. It was still hot, and he was sure he'd appreciate the water in a minute or two.

After completly drying herself, she picked up her stuff and left behind the tree's intending on changing.
"No peeking." she said to him a stern look on her face. A lot of ideas came to mind as she thought about the terms she would name she turned back to Chase one last tiem before disspearing behind the tree's.
"And I mean it." she then heading behind all the trees to change.

Chase's eyebrows rose a notch. Her first warning he probably would have taken, but the second stirred something, and he started imagining that it was some feminine form of coy invitation. Of course she'd tell him not to peek, but she expected him to anyway, didn't she? Chase grinned and headed slowly toward the trees, wondering if she'd just be pulling clothes on over her bikini or if she'd be changing completely. He neared the spot he'd seen her disappear to and loudly cleared his throat, giving her a warning. She'd have plenty of time to cover herself, or she could pretend she didn't hear him and blush when he accidentally came across her. After a few moments, he stepped forward to assuage his curiosity.

Storm heard coughing just as she was finished dressing, she quickly threw on her robes. When Chase came around she glared at him crossing her arms.
"I knew I should have stunned you." she said and then sighed.
"Anyways no harm done, you didn't see anything." she rolled her eyes picking up her wand and her string bag.

Damn. Apparently she hadn't just been playing coy. Chase grinned mischievously. It had been fun, if not productive. "Come on, you wouldn't have minded," Chase teased. He moved to grab his own clothes. "Feel free to watch," he said with a chuckle.

She scoffed at his remark.
"I would have minded." she then turned her back on him not wanting to give him the satisfaction.
"Hurry up and change I'm not watching." she said coldly, but there was a hint of humor he wouldn't miss.

"Too bad," Chase said, just loud enough to be sure she could hear. He took his time getting dressed, then walked up behind Storm and tapped her on the shoulder. "It's safe," he murmured, eyes gleaming with the tease. He waited for her to turn her head before stealing a kiss.

She rolled her eyes and let out a small laugh at him, she spun around as she felt him tap her shoulder and flashed him a smile putting her arms around his neck her lips in a pout.
“Chase, do you actually think I’m that kind of girl, I’m mortified.” she was holding back her laugh as she inched closer to him.

"Not think," he said, eyes gleaming. "Only hope." Chase grinned wickedly. He hadn't come across that kind of girl since he'd been at Hogwarts, though he'd thought Vannah was one at first. It turned out she was just a fickle witch.

She pulled her arms away from his neck and shook her head at him.
“Hoping is for optimists, optimists are pessimists in denial, I don’t believe in the word hope, hope is not going to make life easier, hope is not going to get anyone anything they want, hope is a word for foolish people who believe that you can live your life without working for it, so it’s best you don’t hope for that, it will never happen.” She bit her lower lip as her fathers words replayed in her mind
“All Seyrrou’s learn that, it’s a family saying ‘Optimists are just pessimists in denial’ I always live by that.” She shrugged her shoulders not looking up from the ground.

Chase grinned wickedly. "So you're saying I should stop hoping and work harder," he murmured, tilting Storm's chin up to look at him. "I think pessimists are just people who settle for what's given to them. Hope is just what happens before you go after what you want." What good was hope if you didn't make it reality?

"And thats why I don't believe in hope, I never hope for something, never wish for it, I go for whatever it is." She sighed and didn't know why she was sayign this, but it came out smoothly from her lips.
"But to work hard to make me be like that, well I wont open up that much with us being like this, if it's something serious maybe, but knowing you probably want that with every girl your with Chase, it best not to even wish for it." she slightly pulled away from his hand and placed her head on his chest another sigh escaping her lips.

Storm's honesty caused more than a moment of discomfort. It was one thing to work patiently toward a vague goal, knowing what it would actually take. It was quite another to have the requirements laid out in plain view. Much harder to pretend they didn't exist. She was right; Chase wasn't one for settling down, even if that one act would further his goal, maybe even make it possible. He got bored too fast, or maybe just restless. He couldn't say it, though. Chase wrapped his arms around Storm for a long, quiet moment before he relaxed his arms. "You deserve better than this," he murmured.
