Gabby looked at the scar on Ryan's chest. She wondered how he would react to it. "Are you ok with it?" Gabby asked softly, squeezing his hand gently so as not to hurt him.

Gabby smiled at Ryan, then leant down and kissed him. "Thank you so much for what you did, you protected me and for that I will always love you," Gabby whispered, tears in her eyes as she was overwhelmed with both love for Ryan and gratitude that he had done what he did.

"now just concentrate on recovering, I miss my knight," Gabby said making a weak joke, she was tired and you could tell. Her face was pale and her curls were limp. Gabby smiled tiredly at Ryan and gently squeezed his hand, showing him that she was ok.

Gabby silently agreed, but didn't want to leave Ryan. As the hospital wing was quite empty, Gabby moved from her chair onto the bed next to Ryan. She curled up, then was asleep in minutes. She hadn't realized quite how tired she was.

Ryan smiled and watched gabby fall asleep and closed his eyes and slowly slipped into his dreams.

Gabby slept for hours. When she awoke Ryan had drifted off too and she watched him sleeping, glad that he was peaceful. A smile played on Gabby's lips yet tears streamed down her face.

Gabby got up and went to sit in the chair she had occupied next to Ryan's bed. She gently picked up his hand kissed it softly so as not to wake him. Tears continued to slide down her cheeks due to the emotions that filled her. Ganbby wa so grateful to Ryan for what he had done, but she was also scared, she had come close to losing him and she never wanted that to happen.

Ryan slowly started to wake up and looked around and saw Gabby and smiled.

Gabby quickly wiped her tears away and smiled back at Ryan. "Hi sweetie, how are you feeling?" Gabby asked gently, squeezing Ryan's hand to silently tell him she was ok.

"Great," Gabby said with a smile. She relaxed, feeling that everything was going to be ok. "Do you feel well enough to leave then?" She asked, Gabby didn't really like the hospital wing that much and she wanted to get out to get some fresh air.
