Vannah sighed and brought her eyes to his. "This past week has been...hard." She began. "And I can't---" Vannah placed her hand over his. "I need some....time. First this thing with Pandora, and then this..." She said softly. "I need to work it out by myself before I can let anyone else." Vannah looked away unsure of what to do or what else to say.

Ryan sighed, he knew this would be coming. He put his head down a little as a few tears ran down his face "I knew this would happen." he said softly, it seemed like every time he was finally happy something would happen and the happiness would get taken away from him.

Vannah nodded. "I'm sorry." She said apollogetically. "I just....I need some space for now. Until I van work things out." She shuffled her papers around some to keep her busy. "It---It'll be better this way." Vannah lied as s he quickly thought of ways for it to be better. The big one hit her hard. "No you and Pandora don't have to sneak around behind my back." She said almost bitterly, but not quite so.

Ryan didnt look down "We arent, I stopped talking to her. I told her that with the exception of the time that we go after the jerk that im done seeing her."

Vannah smiled patiently. "No, it's okay. I know. This isn't my first dance ya know?" She said quietly. "It doesn't matter. If something's keeping you around her it must be better than us, right?"

Ryan looked at her "No its not, I felt like crap when i was around her. I did it to find out what I wanted and thats exactly what i did, I found out."

"Ryan...please...." Vannah said holding her hand up to solence him. "I'm sorry. I just...need to figure some things out on my own. I have so much work to do and my head's so mixed up it might explode." She said wearily with a hint of pleading in her voice.

"Bye." Vannah said as a whisper, if that. She ignired the huge pain that pierced her own heart, but it was somthing she had to do.

Ryan sighed, wanting to try and fix it somehow, but he knew he couldnt. He turned and slowly walked away as he started to cry.
