Dru closed her eyes for just a moment when his lips touched her neck again, but she focused anyway. "Yes yes, I know," she said as she took his hands and linked their fingers together, though she didn't push him away. "We're also in a library, darling." She ended with a smile, she knew him well enough to know that the switch from the aisle to between the shelves was just the beginning.

Chase groaned again, but managed to pull back, his eyes fierce red as he glowered down at Dru. He let her move his hands from beneath her shirt, let her thread her fingers through his, but it didn't mean he agreed with her stopping him. Chase's features softened as he put on his most innocently charming face. "No one's watching," he murmured. His lips quirked. "And anything they saw would just add to the rumors, right? I don't think we've added enough yet." He dipped his head down to steal another kiss.

Dru smiled, her luck a little first year would come around just as they did something to add to the rumors. She kissed him back lightly before forcing herself to turn around, releasing his hands long enough to do so and then taking them again and scanning the book spines. "Didn't you say something about if they saw it it wouldn't be a rumor?" she asked, grinning.

Chase let out a bark of laughter, despite his best intentions. "Okay," he started, attempting to fill the holes in his own reasoning, "so the stuff they see isn't technically rumor, but it'll support the rumors, right?" Chase grinned unrepentantly and brought his hands, and with them Dru's, to cross the front of her body. He leaned over her shoulder, his lips light against her ear. "Do you even remember why we're here?" he teased.

"Well, obviously to get a book," Dru answered. Now what book exactly, that was the hard part. The only thing she could really remember for certain was that they had reached the right shelf when Chase had stopped her. And his light touch on her ear wasn't helping her remember at all.

"Hmm, if we're just here to get a book, then it doesn't matter which one we get, does it?" Chase teased. One hand slipped free of Dru's, and he grabbed a book at random off the shelf in front of them, turning to swat her playfully on the rear. "I like this one," he said, eyes gleaming.

Dru laughed, "Would you stop?" she said as she turned and stared at him. Over his shoulder a book title caught her eye. "There we go," she said after reading it more carefully. It seemed as though it'd be a good match. "You see? If you hadn't insisted on stopping, we could have been out of here ten minutes ago." She grinned at him, knowing that, though it had detained them, it hadn't been a mistake at all.

"But then I wouldn't have found this," Chase said, waving the book he'd picked at Dru. It had a nondescript leather cover, and he had no clue what was in it, but it was just the right size and weight. Chase swatted Dru again, then dropped the book with a thud as his hand took its place. He grinned wickedly as he pulled her against him. "You know, you promised me a good time once we got to the club," he said, eyes gleaming red-brown. He didn't actually think she'd promised him anything, but it was worth a try.

Dru smiled, "Don't you always have a good time at the club?" She kissed him lightly before reaching up over his shoulder to grab the book, "So do you want to stay here and hold me hostage, or go to the club?" Either idea actually appealed to her, but she knew that she needed to go to the club.

Chase's eyes sparked wickedly. "Good point." He caught her for one last, dizzying kiss before releasing Dru to bend and pick up the book he'd dropped. "Let's go," he said, as though she was the one stalling.

Dru held her book to her hip and rolled her eyes as she walked past him. "Come on then," she said, looking back and grinning quickly before walking up to the front of the library.
