"Did he try anything?" She seemed fine, so he assumed he hadn't, but he wanted to make sure. The last time Michael had come in contact with Emilian, the guy had been very tense and Michael didn't know what he could have done.

"Nah." Vannah said shaking her head. "He seemed like he was in pain and he looked pretty beat up." She said suppressing the amused smile that tempted to spread across her face.

Michael grinned, "Good, I'll have to commend Chase for it." He had never really seen Emilian beat up, he had always cared too much for appearances to pick fights with stronger people than him. It would have been a treat to see Emilian wincing when he moved.

"Yeah...whatever..." Vannah said shrugging. She dodged as a loose owl came straight at her and cursed at it. "Damn birds...." She muttered rolling her eyes.

Michael turned his head and watched the owl fly away before turning back forwards. "This is where I was headed," he said, pointing towards a door. "I'll see you around?" The statement was a slight question.

"Perhaps." Vannah answered vaguely. She grinned. "I'll be around. Probably trying to get work done....or put it off. Most likely the second one." She said with a laugh in her voice.

Michael smiled, "Take care," he said before turning and walking into the classroom. He hoped she'd be alright and that Emilian wouldn't go after her again, but that was all he felt he could do; hope.
