Her words brought a smile to Michael's face, however faint it was. "I'm glad I could help, I just hope he doesn't go after anyone else." His thoughts went to Annabelle and a feeling of dread swept over him.

Vannah studied his face. "I'm sure she's fine." She offered. "Well for now at least...he'll only go after her if he knows how much it hurts you." She said looking back at the wall. "Other than that, Annabelle's strong....she knows how to take care of herself."

Michael gave a weak smile, "I hope she doesn't have to prove that to me." He didn't want her to ever have to come into any contact with Emilian.
