"Don't do anything to her, she doesn't deserve it, Hell, none of them deserve it." Michael stared at Emilian with cold eyes, not seeing anything strange in his expression. "Or have you already done something to her?"

"I've not done anything to her," Emilian said, looking up, eyes flashing. He kept Michael's eyes for a few moments before taking a breath and a sip from his glass, "She asked me to stop and I did," he said as though it was the same thing he always did, looking away. "But she is beautiful."

Michael couldn't deny that the girl was beautiful, but still he looked at Emilian with an air of confusion. "Since when do you stop when asked? As far as I know you you take what you want, when you want it, no matter what they do or say."

"She's....an interesting one," Emilian murmured, eyes glazing over slightly. "So curious, but afraid to follow through with her curiosity. Wanting, yearning, but unsure as for what." He stopped, remembering the look in her eyes, the feel of her hands, as she had assuaged some of her curiosity. "So beautiful."

"You sound absolutely infatuated with her," Michael said in partial amazement, partial amusement. He sighed after a few moments' watching his old friend, "I suppose as long as she agrees to it, there's really nothing I can say against it."

Emilian looked over at Michael crossly, "I am not infatuated, merely intrigued." He stopped, wondering what to say to try and explain. "She reminds me of the wonder I used to have for the human body." The words were low and slightly muffled by the glass he brought once again to his lips.

Michael didn't quite understand, not immediately, though some part of him, some part deep inside understood what Emilian was trying to say. He didn't speak any more on the matter, somehow thinking that she would be ok, at least for a little while. "Why were you so angry in the entrance hall?" Other than Anna taking Adara away, Michael hadn't been able to think of any reason for it.

"You've always been the one stable, the one person I could come to, the one I cared about out of both of our families," Emilian said honestly. He wasn't going to lie, in the least not to Michael. "And then you left. And the next thing I know, you're some stranger I don't recognize. There's nothing anymore. If you had never left, had never...." he clenched his jaw and trailed off. His fingers had tightened slightly over his fragile glass and he forced himself to relax them. His eyes wandered, finally focusing on a dusty knot in a piece of wood.

Michael shifted in his chair, uncomfortable with the feeling in Emilian's words. "You know that anything....between us, would never...." he wasn't exactly sure how to say it, but knew that Emilian understood what he was trying to say.

"Yes, yes," Emilian said bitterly as he stood. "I know." He walked over to the window and stared out at the same tree that Michael had earlier. He set his glass on the window ledge and crossed his arms. "Do you have any idea how it is to care for someone, and they be entirely unattainable? Be so different from you that it's like they're not even the same species?" He looked back over his shoulder, "And yet, you want so badly for them to just come back to you." The words finished quietly, he wasn't even sure why he had said them or what effect they would have, but they were out and there was no taking them back.

Michael set his glass down beside of the chair on the floor and stood. "Yes, I do, her name is Dru. But I got over it," he said the last words deliberately slow and choppy. Emilian acting like Michael knew nothing irked him and his expression was hard. "And you'll get over it too, so stop wallowing in self pity and move on." The line mirrored what Pandora had once told Michael, though it didn't really click for him until after they were said.

Emilian turned and narrowed his eyes, "You can not tell me that you have completely moved on, I can guarantee that if I told you one thing you would be right back in that club of hers meddling in her life again." He didn't supply the information that he had gotten from Lucretia, knowing that Michael would ask about it more likely than not.

Michael's heart skipped a beat. "Caring about her doesn't mean I haven't moved on. now what do you know?" He had moved on, he knew he had, Anna knew he had, Dru knew he had. But he still didn't want anything to happen to her.

Emilian sighed, "That guy she's with, Chase, Firebrand, whatever you want to call him, he's not exactly being loyal." He looked back out the window, not really wanting to look Michael in the eyes. "Lucretia, Storm, called him her 'entertainment.'" The way he said the word made it clear what form of "entertainment" he meant. "As of the last time I spoke with Storm, Dru doesn't know."

The implied meaning in Emilian's voice wasn't lost in Michael, and his whole expression darkened. "I told her, I told her," he said, low and angry. He glanced up, seeing the reflection of Emilian's face in the glass. He wasn't lying. He bent down and picked up his glass again, walking around and chewing his lip in between drinking the rest of it. "I'll kill him, with my bare hands," he muttered as he paced.
