I wasn't sure where to ask a few questions, prehaps now thinking it through I probably should have messaged some one but oh well I'm already here. First off, Is there a main board storyline we must follow within our own roleplaying posts? Second, I did read you could have seperate characters as long as you put them on their own accounts, my question is is there a limit on characters as long as you keep them all active? And last but not least, if you have created, for example, three characters and you want them to later on in your characters' play know of each others existence would the most appropriate way to do such on this board be to interact with each character on a thread or just assume that they all met and know each other (since you are the creator of all three and therefor have your own side-stories)?

There's not a main board storyline. Magikal is set at Hogwarts, and we try to keep it canon as much as possible. We usually make the season whatever season it really is, but we've been known to write a thread that's set in one day over the course of an actual month, so there's freedom there. And we aren't required to move up to the next grade at the end of term, so more freedom. People get into their own plot arcs through interacting. You can read what's happened in the past year in the Daily Prophet's gossip column if you're interested. Second, I don't think Hells minds more than one, as long as they're active. If you make more than one and want them to know each other previously, that's fine. There are characters on Magikal who have transferred from other sites, and they've chosen to keep their histories. You can't god-mode that others know you (without talking to their writers), but for their own, their history is up to you. If you mean they'd meet later, that's up to you, too. Some people will write out a thread so the mem bers who read everything can see how it happened, but they're your characters, so you're not required to. I hope that's been helpful! I'm here way too much for someone who works and goes to school, so I don't mind sharing my vast knowledge.

I think I have an answer, this is by the way an educated -snorts- guess so for all we know I could be wrong.
I think that the word 'member' has been put into the word filter (type in a 'bad word' and it comes out 'cleaner') so member has probably been filtered as Wizard. So when you type in remember it comes out as reWizard. The thing is, it doesn't work in Firefox, so maybe it's an actual code that makes the word go from 'memeber' to 'wizard' and it's only IE compatible.
Hope that helped ;D

Oohh Here's my poorly educated guess:
I think there is a code that has changed the word "Member" to "Wizard". So like at the bottom of the screen where it says who is online (Staff Members, Members, Guests) for Internet Explorer is says "Staff Wizards, Wizards, and Muggles" instead. However, I've used Firefox and I'm currently using Google Chrome and it says members so I think it depends on what kind of browser you use. Coincidentally, when someone types "member, remember, etc then it automatically changes it to Wizard.
